Robotic Palletizers
Designed to automate the stacking and arranging of products or materials onto pallets, KPS’ robotic palletizing systems integrate Fanuc robots to increase operational efficiency and productivity while diminishing product damage.

Robotic Palletizer Workflow, Features, and Benefits
KPS’s robotic palletizing systems consist of one or more Fanuc robotic arms equipped with a gripper or vacuum end-of-arm tooling that picks items from a KPS conveyor or your production line and precisely places them onto pallets in a predefined pattern.
Our robotic palletizing system’s workflow generally involves the following sequential steps:
Detection: Identifies the products/materials that need palletization using sensors, vision systems, or barcode scanners.
Pick-Up: The robotic arm moves to the desired location and engages and lifts the item(s) from the conveyor.
Placement: The robotic arm moves to the pallet and accurately positions the item (s) based on the predefined stacking pattern.
Stacking: The process is repeated for each item until a complete layer or multiple layers are formed on the pallet.
Wrapping System: Once a pallet is fully stacked, it moves to a KPS wrapping system, where it is secured to the pallet using stretch film.
Pallet Exchange: The system automatically replaces a fully stacked pallet with an empty one to continue the stacking process.
The features and benefits of KPS’s robotic palletizing system make it a valuable smart tool for organizations seeking optimized processes and increased productivity. They include:
Increased Productivity: Our systems work non-stop. They can handle a high volume of palletizing tasks quickly and precisely, leading to increased productivity and throughput.
Greater Accuracy: Fanuc Robots position and stack items on pallets, ensuring consistent alignment and stability. This accuracy reduces the likelihood of product damage during transportation and prevents pallets from collapsing or shifting during handling, thereby minimizing waste and improving quality control.
Adaptability: Systems can be programmed to handle a wide range of product types, shapes, and sizes and can quickly switch between different palletizing patterns for increased flexibility in the pack-out lines.
Ergonomics & Safety: By automating the palletizing process, the need for manual lifting and repetitive motion is eliminated, reducing the risk of strains, sprains, and other work-related injuries.
Space Optimization: The system optimizes available space on pallets by arranging items efficiently and maximizing the number of products that can be stacked securely. This efficient use of space helps reduce shipping costs, minimizes the number of pallets needed, and optimizes warehouse storage.
Data Collection and Analysis: The system can be equipped with sensors and software to collect data during the palletizing process. Data analysis brings insights into production efficiency, identifies areas for improvement, and optimizes overall operations.
Integration With Other Systems: Our robotic palletizing systems can seamlessly integrate with KPS conveyors, sorting, wrapping, and other processes, enabling a smooth flow of materials and reducing bottlenecks.
